An encounter has started between Indian security forces and terrorists in Bilwar in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources, fierce firing is taking place in the forests of Dhanu Parol. Actually, security forces had received information about some terrorists hiding in the area, after which a search operation was being conducted by the Indian security forces. During this search operation, terrorists and security forces came face to face and the terrorists started firing.
This action of Indian security forces on terrorists is being considered as the first major encounter of 2026. These terrorists had martyred four Kathua Police soldiers last year on March 26, 2024 and were absconding for the last 9 months. In such a situation, when the security forces got information about the terrorists, the army cordoned off the entire area and conducted a search operation.
