England vs Sri Lanka Highlights Super 8: England has surprised Sri Lanka by defeating it by 51 runs. Jofra Archer and Will Jacques wreaked such havoc in the bowling that the Sri Lankan batsmen had no luck. Captain Dasun Shanaka fought till the end, but could not avoid certain defeat. In this match played at Pallekele Stadium, England batted first and scored 146 runs. In reply, the Sri Lankan team could not even play the full 20 overs and were all out for 95 runs.

The decision to bowl first after winning the toss proved costly for Sri Lanka. Talking about Sri Lanka or England, the bowlers dominated the entire match, hence a total of 19 wickets fell in both the innings. In the beginning, Will Jacques and Joffra Archer continuously gave shocks to the Sri Lankan team, from which it could not recover.

In bowling for England, Joffra Archer took 2 wickets, while Will Jacques was the most successful bowler by taking 3 wickets. Adil Rashid and Liam Dawson also took two wickets each. Jamie Overton also managed to take one wicket.
