Amidst the Afghan-Pakistan war, a top Afghan Taliban official said on ABP News, ‘Pakistan fights a mercenary war. Has not won even a single war, has been beaten by India every time, that is why it is attacking Afghan civilians.
On Thursday (February 26, 2026) night, amidst the demolition of Pakistani military bases by the Afghan army and the killing of more than 55 Pakistani soldiers, Qari Saeed Khoshti, a top Taliban official in Afghanistan and Director in the Ministry of Culture, spoke exclusively to ABP News. He said that last night there were attacks on Pakistani military bases by the Afghan Army.
He said that this is revenge for the Pakistani airstrike on innocent Afghan civilians on February 22 and it will continue until the revenge is completed. Qari Saeed Khoshti told ABP News that at 8 pm according to Afghanistan time, the army started attacking many military posts and bases of Pakistan and by midnight it had destroyed 18-20 Pakistani posts and the condition of the Pakistani army was so bad that as soon as the attacks started in many sectors, Pakistani soldiers left their posts and ran away.
Qari Saeed Khoshti termed the Pakistan-Afghanistan border Durand Line as a fake line and said that Afghanistan does not consider this border as valid and it is an imposed line. According to the top Taliban official, along with destroying Pakistan’s military posts, Afghan soldiers also crossed the Durand Line and took many Pakistani soldiers as hostages and brought them to Afghanistan.
Referring to the death of 88 Afghan civilians in Pakistani air strikes since September, Khoshti said, ‘If Pakistan has a problem with us then it should fight with our army, but targeting civilians is not bravery.’ While exposing Pakistani Army, Qari Saeed Khoshti said that the history of Pakistani Army is that it has not won even a single war till date, it has been defeated by India every time, that is why it does not fight with soldiers and attacks unarmed people. Also raising questions on the history of Pakistan, he alleged that the country built in the name of Islam attacks only other Muslim countries.
Qari Saeed Khoshti said for the current Pakistani Chief of Defense Staff (CDF) Asim Munir that Asim Munir is not working for the welfare of his country but is fighting a mercenary war with Afghanistan at the behest of America and Western countries. He said that Pakistan’s history is witness to the fact that it has always fought a mercenary war. According to Qari Saeed Khoshti, after fighting the last war, Asim Munir had got the 27th constitutional amendment done and now to strengthen himself wildly, he is fighting another war and nurturing ISKP so that the entire region becomes unstable and he gets another amendment done.
Qari Saeed Khoshti claimed that senior officials of Pakistan Army have created a joint command of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Islamic State Khorasan (ISKP) so that Pakistan can destabilize countries like India and Afghanistan and destabilize the entire region. According to Qari Saeed Khoshti, during talks with Pakistan, the Afghan government has many times given evidence of harboring terrorists against Pakistan.
‘Afghanistan gives shelter to TTP and BLA fighters and these fighters infiltrate into Pakistan from Afghanistan’, Qari Saeed Khoshti said regarding Pakistan’s allegation on Afghanistan that due to the presence of barbed wire and Pakistani army on the border, the claim of infiltration is beyond reality and Pakistan wants to shirk its responsibility by blaming the lapse in its security on another country.
Khoshti said that the violence in the Pashtun and Baloch areas within Pakistan has its roots in internal failures because the way Pakistan fights a mercenary war, it also attacks and kills Pashtuns and Baloch in its own country. For this reason, Pashtuns in Pakistan are taking up arms against the government under the banner of TTP and Baloch under the banner of BLA. In such a situation, Pakistan itself is responsible for the terrorism happening in its country and it is not right to blame it on Afghanistan.
