Example of Hindu-Muslim unity in Telangana, industrialist Rajendra Agarwal took up the responsibility of repairing the damaged Jama Masjid.

During the recently held municipal elections in Telangana, a unique example of Hindu-Muslim unity was seen. What happened was that on February 16, in Yadadri district, an incident of vandalism was reported by unknown anti-social elements in the Jama Masjid of Jalalpur village, Bommala Ram Mandal. The boundary wall, doors and microphone system of the mosque were damaged.

Two days after the incident, on February 18, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramzan, industrialist and managing director of Ram Conductors Rajendra Aggarwal reached the mosque, took charge of repairing the damage and described the incident as unbearable.

Aggarwal said – damaging the religious place is against unity

Local people and members of the mosque committee were present in the mosque premises at that time. Aggarwal said that damaging any religious place is against the unity of the society. He had already contacted Majlis Bachao Tehreek spokesperson Amjad Ullah Khan and offered financial assistance in the repairs. Both of them inspected the mosque on Wednesday. Mosque Committee Chairman Mohammad Salim informed them about the damaged parts and said that after the incident, an atmosphere of anxiety had arisen in the village.

Broken walls and damaged doors of the mosque were shown

During the tour, Agarwal was shown the broken walls and damaged doors of the mosque. After the inspection, he handed over a check to the mosque committee and assured that the repair of the boundary wall, doors and sound system would be started soon. The people present there welcomed this step and called it a positive initiative towards social harmony.

Police is investigating the matter

According to the police, investigation is going on in the case of vandalism that took place on the night of 16 February and some suspects are being interrogated.
