A case creating communal conflict has come to light from Belagavi district of Karnataka. The police took immediate strict action on the complaint and appealed to the people to exercise restraint. A case has been registered against 7 leaders of Hindutva organizations including Harshita Thakur of Maharashtra after receiving a complaint about the gesture of firing arrows towards a dargah in Machhe village of Belagavi.
According to the information, last Sunday (January 18), a local Hindutva organization had called Harshita Thakur for the Akhand Hindu inclusion program in Machhe. Before the program, the organizers took out a procession in the entire village, in which Harshita Thakur was taken in an open vehicle. According to the information received, when the vehicle was going in front of Syed Ansari Dargah, Harshita Thakur turned towards the Dargah and repeatedly made gestures of firing arrows towards the religious place.
Harshita Thakur accused of making inflammatory statements
After Harshita Thakur repeatedly gestured to shoot arrows towards the religious place, her supporters and many people in the crowd started cheering and clapping. His actions allegedly hurt religious sentiments. It is being told that later in his speech he also made some provocative statements, due to which there was a fear of deteriorating law and order.
Police registered a case against 7 people
Abdul Khadar Mujawar of the Dargah complained about this entire matter to the police. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against 7 people including Thakur and the organizers. These also include Supreet Simpi Shrikant Kamble, Betappa Tarihal, Shivaji Shahapurkar, Gangaram Tarihal and Kallappa. This incident took place in Peeranwadi area near Machhe village, where provocative gestures were made when the procession was passing near the Dargah. The police is busy investigating this entire matter.
