Friend didn’t give him lighter so he took his life, crushed with car, were partying after playing cricket

Karnataka News: The spirit of the game turned into mourning during a local cricket tournament in Electronics City, Bengaluru, Karnataka on Sunday, when a player killed his own teammate after the match was over. 33-year-old Prashant and 37-year-old Roshan Hegde both played cricket on the same ground before, but no one thought that this would be their last meeting.

Bloody party took place after leaving the field

According to the information, after the tournament ended on Sunday, Prashant and Roshan came out of the field together and to celebrate, they sat down to party in the open field behind a mall. While drinking there, there was an argument between the two over a simple cigarette lighter. While drunk, the argument became so violent that they attacked each other with beer bottles, injuring Roshan’s tongue.

After the fight, when accused Roshan Hegde started leaving in his Tata Safari (SUV), Prashant hung on the foot-rest of the car to stop him. Enraged, Roshan increased the speed of the car and deliberately rammed Prashant into a tree and wall. Prashant died on the spot due to serious head and chest injuries.

Electronics City Police arrested the accused Roshan within an hour. The footage of the dashcam installed in the car has become the biggest evidence for the police, in which this entire incident was recorded. A case of murder has been registered by the police against the accused under section 103(1) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
