Friendship is over! Rohit Sharma is not the best, Virat Kohli’s shocking statement came out, know the whole story

Rohit Sharma is not the best opening batsman in T20 cricket. This is what his good friend Virat Kohli has to say. You are absolutely right, Virat Kohli does not believe that Rohit is the best opener in T20. He has described Chris Gayle, who was his opening partner in Royal Challengers Bangalore, as the best opening batsman of T20.

Royal Challengers Bangalore recently shared a video on social media, in which Virat Kohli participated in the ‘This or That’ challenge. They were asked to choose between 2 players and whichever player they chose was then compared with another player. At the end of this entire challenge, he called Chris Gayle the best opening batsman of T20.

Chris Gayle won from Virender Sehwag

First he was asked to choose between Sunil Narine and Adam Gilchrist, Virat chose Gilchrist, then Travis Head. He ignored the head and selected Virender Sehwag, after which many names came, but Kohli kept on remembering Sehwag’s name. But when Chris Gayle’s name came up, he left Sehwag. Even Virat called Sehwag a better opening batsman than Sachin Tendulkar in T20.

Rohit is not number-1

In the end Virat Kohli had to choose between Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma. For the best opening batsman in T20, he ignored Rohit Sharma and chose Chris Gayle.

If we compare the figures of Rohit Sharma and Chris Gayle as openers in international T20 cricket, Rohit is far ahead. In his T20 career, Rohit, while opening for India in 124 matches, scored 3750 runs at an average of 32.61 and his strike rate was 143.02. On the other hand, Gayle, as an opener for West Indies, scored 1660 runs in 59 T20 matches at an average of 31.32 and his strike rate was 141.76.
