From Pakistan, India to England-Zimbabwe, these countries qualified in Super-8; Now the real war will happen

T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8 Qualified Teams: In the 2026 T20 World Cup, Super-8 matches are starting from today i.e. 21st February. The first match in the Super-8 stage will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand. A total of 20 countries took part in the tournament, but after the group stage the number of teams has reduced to only 8. The real competition will begin now, where there will be a race between these eight teams to reach the semi-finals and then the finals.

Before the matches of Super-8 stage start, know which eight teams have overcome the challenge of group stage and made it to the next stage. Let us tell you that a total of 12 matches will be played in Super-8.

Whose match today?

Today the first match in Super-8 will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand. This match will be played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and will start at 7 pm Indian time. In the history of international T20 cricket, Pakistan and New Zealand have come face to face 49 times so far, out of which Pakistan has won 24 times and the Kiwi team has won 23 times.

How did you qualify for Super-8?

When the 2026 T20 World Cup tournament started, all the 20 teams were divided into 4 groups of five each. The teams in each group faced each other once. In this way, after the completion of all the matches, all the teams which remained in the first 2 positions in the group, qualified for the Super-8.

India and Pakistan from Group A, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from Group B, West Indies and England from Group C, South Africa and New Zealand from Group D qualified. Now these eight teams have been divided into two groups of four each in the Super-8 and the top-2 teams will enter the semi-finals.
