Holi is not just a festival of colors, but for Bollywood it has been a special occasion of celebration, music, friendship and memorable moments. For years, Holi parties have been considered no less than a big event in the Hindi film industry. Sometimes there was a rain of colors at RK Studio, and sometimes the entire film world would come together at the homes of big stars. The styles have certainly changed with time, but the enthusiasm and shine of Holi still remains intact.
Raj Kapoor’s Holi party
In olden times, Raj Kapoor’s Holi party was no less than a festival. This celebration held at RK Studio was considered special for the entire film industry. Along with him, his brothers Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor also used to welcome the guests. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Nargis, Rajendra Kumar, Prem Nath and Nirupa Roy used to be a part of these parties. There drums were played, colors were flying and everyone celebrated openly. However, today the Kapoor family celebrates Holi with simplicity, a glimpse of which Kareena Kapoor Khan often shares on social media.
Shahrukh Khan’s Holi party
Holi parties of Bollywood’s King Khan Shahrukh Khan have also been in the news. An old video is still going viral on social media, in which he is seen jokingly convincing Gauri Khan to jump into a pool full of colours. In that video, stars like Subhash Ghai, Karan Johar, David Dhawan and Chunky Pandey are also seen having fun. However, now Shahrukh celebrates the festival simply at his home with his family and close friends and sometimes meets his fans and wishes them.
Amitabh Bachchan’s grand holi party
If we talk about grand Holi parties and Big B’s name does not come up, it cannot happen. Amitabh Bachchan’s Holi parties were counted among the biggest and popular parties of the industry for years. There used to be colours, music and a long line of guests at his house. People from politics to film industry used to participate in it. Amitabh Bachchan often shares old pictures, in which he is seen playing Holi with Raj Kapoor in RK Studio. His son Abhishek Bachchan had also once shared pictures of Holi with the family.
Ranveer Singh’s Holi party
The new generation stars have also celebrated Holi in their own style. In the year 2018, Ranveer Singh had organized a special Holi party for international singer Pharrell Williams. This was Pharrell’s first Holi and there was a tremendous atmosphere of music and dance along with colors in the party. Many faces like Anusha Dandekar, Sara Todd, Mini Mathur and Ananya Pandey were seen in this celebration. Pictures and videos of that party went viral on social media.
Javed Akhtar’s Holi party
The Holi party of famous singer Javed Akhtar and actress Shabana Azmi is also considered special. This celebration held at his house becomes a meeting of people associated with art, literature and cinema. Here there is an atmosphere of colors along with songs, poems and interesting conversations.
