Gas cylinders started being stolen due to shortage of LPG, incident captured in CCTV, crisis at hotels in Hyderabad amid Ramzan

The shortage of commercial gas cylinders has forced people so much that the situation has now reached the point of theft of gas. A shocking incident has come to light in Kodad in Suryapet district, where thieves stole several gas cylinders from a tractor Takkul manufacturing shop. At the same time, the supply of commercial LPG in Hyderabad has declined by about 75 percent and about 74,000 hotels and restaurants in the city have only one day’s gas stock left.

According to the information, commercial gas cylinders were used for welding and other works in this tractor Takkul workshop located in Kodad area. Thieves entered the shop in the dark of night and took away many cylinders. When the shop owner came to know about this theft in the morning, he was shocked. When the CCTV camera footage was scrutinized, the entire act of the thieves was clearly visible on the camera.

Police registered the case and started investigation
When the police were informed about this incident, they immediately reached the spot and took the CCTV footage in their possession. The faces and actions of the thieves are clearly visible in the footage, which can help the police reach the accused. Suryapet District Police has registered the case and started investigation and have expressed confidence of arresting the accused soon.

According to Rajender Reddy, secretary of Twin Cities Gas Dealers Association, restaurants cannot do anything, they will have to find other ways themselves. Famous restaurants like Shah Ghaus are now cooking biryani on wood fire.

About 11,000 hostels are also affected
Telangana State Hotel Association treasurer S. Ram Murthy warned that small and medium-sized hotels, which usually have only 24 to 48 hours of fuel stock, would be the first to close. Around 11,000 hostels in the IT corridor Raidurg and surrounding areas are also in the grip of this crisis and their association has appealed to the government for immediate intervention. The Hotel and Restaurant Industry Association has written a letter to Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri demanding that it be made clear that the government order does not apply to their area and the supply should be restored immediately.
