‘Giving 40 days’ time…’, Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand took a jibe at the government, what did he say is the first condition of being a Hindu?

Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand targeted the Yogi government in a press conference on Friday (January 30) in Varanasi. He said that we were asked for proof of being Shankaracharya. We were asked to inform within 24 hours. Then it was said that why not be denied entry into the fair itself? We have replied to them within 24 hours. The reply was sought and till now they have not rejected our reply, which means that they found our point correct.

On the question of bathing in Prayagraj, he said that now that matter has been left behind, now the matter is about real Hindus and fake Hindus. This matter had come from the officials but they did not come forward for it and wanted to tell us many things but we did not accept it.

‘Attempts to tarnish our image’
He issued a letter saying that now the time has come for the decisive test of religion and power. He said that various kinds of atrocities were committed on prominent Sanatanis including Dharmasamrat Swami Karpatri Ji Maharaj and now due to raising the same voice, various kinds of atrocities and injustice are being done to us and the cow devotees who are supporting us in this work. Which you all are seeing. He said that various efforts are being made to tarnish our image among the Sanatani public. Yogi Adityanath is leading all this through his confidants Rambhadracharya etc.

CM Yogi asked for proof of being a Hindu
Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand said that without getting distracted by all this, we along with all Sanatanis will continue to strengthen our resolve for cow protection. We say to Yogi Adityanath that you have asked for our certificate, now the Chief Minister will have to give proof of his being a ‘Hindu’. Expressing his sharp reaction when asked about the authenticity of his being Shankaracharya, he said that the religious power is not dependent on certificates, but now the power will have to prove its religious allegiance.

Sharp attack on CM Yogi
He said that Chief Minister Adityanath ji, you asked us for the certificate of our position and tradition. We naturally handed it over to you because truth is not afraid of evidence, but now is the time not to give proof but for you to give proof. The entire Sanatani community now asks you for proof of your being a Hindu. He further said that being a Hindu is not limited to speeches or saffron only. Its test is cow service and protection of religion.
