Giving a gift to Kerala, PM Modi said – change is necessary for development, targeted Left-Congress

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted many important development projects to the state during his visit to Kerala on Friday. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various projects, as well as flagged off new train services. On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that due to the efforts of the Central Government, the development of Kerala has got a new impetus and a new awareness has been created among the people about development.

Kerala’s development gets new momentum
After the inauguration and foundation stone laying of the projects, Prime Minister Modi said that this day marks the beginning of a new chapter in the development of Kerala driven by the efforts of the Central Government. He said that rail connectivity has been further strengthened and these projects will help in making Thiruvananthapuram one of the major hubs of the country. PM Modi said that for developed Kerala, BJP will have to be given majority. He put Congress and Left parties in the dock on the corruption front.

Start of new train services
Prime Minister Modi flagged off three Amrit Bharat Express trains and one Thrissur-Guruvayur passenger train. These new train services will further strengthen regional rail connectivity between Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Promote innovation and technology
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the CSIR-NIIST Center for Innovation, Technology and Enterprise here. Along with this, he launched ‘PM Swanidhi Credit Card’, which is an interest-free revolving credit facility linked to UPI.

Help to the beneficiaries of PM Swanidhi Yojana
Modi distributed loan amount and credit cards to many beneficiaries under PM Swanidhi scheme. He said that the objective of this scheme is to provide welfare to the poor and needy people of the entire country including Kerala.

Expansion in health and postal services also
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the state-of-the-art Radio Surgery Center at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology. Apart from this, he also inaugurated the new Pujappura Main Post Office.

Emphasis on the goal of ‘developed India’
Prime Minister Modi congratulated the people of Kerala and the entire country for these development works. He said that the entire country is working together to build a ‘developed India’. He said that in the last 11 years, the Central Government has invested extensively in urban infrastructure and cities have played an important role in development.

Statement of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, in his welcome address, said that the projects launched by the Prime Minister will have a far-reaching impact in the development of the state. He said that these projects are very important for Kerala and the state government had been demanding approval from the Center for many of these projects for a long time.

Expecting cooperation from the center
Chief Minister Vijayan expressed hope that the same sensitivity and goodwill towards Kerala will continue from the Central Government in future also. He said that other genuine demands related to the state will also be fulfilled when the time comes and they will be implemented in a time bound manner.
