Indian team’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has recently spoken openly about his girlfriend in an interview. Not only this, he also remembered that important turning point in his career, which gave him a different identity in international cricket. He told that saving 11 runs in the last over against Bangladesh in the 2016 T20 World Cup proved to be the turning point of his life.
In that match, when India had to bowl the last over to win, young Hardik had a big responsibility. In that environment of pressure, he had confidence in himself and led the team to a memorable victory. Hardik believes that that match taught him that anything can happen in cricket till the last ball and confidence is the biggest strength.
Big change came after IPL
Hardik also revealed that after the last IPL season, he realized that he was not able to fully utilize his batting ability. He admitted that till now he has been able to perform only up to 40 percent of his real capacity. After this he decided to work on his game and mentality.
What did you say about Mahika?
Hardik told that during this time Mahika Sharma entered his life. According to Hardik, during the conversation with Mahika, he started looking at his game from a new perspective. Mahika helped him to get back the same old zeal and enthusiasm towards cricket which he used to have in his early days.
Hours of hard work changed the picture
Hardik told that he worked hard on himself both outside and inside the field. For many days, he kept practicing batting for 6 to 7 hours continuously and often remained present in the nets till the lights of the field were switched off. The effect of this hard work was clearly visible in the recent match against Pakistan in Colombo, where he made an important contribution with the ball.
Hardik says that now his aim is to reach his full potential. His hunger and dedication can become the biggest strength for Team India in the campaign to save the title. Similar match-winning performance is expected from Hardik in the upcoming matches.
