On this ongoing rift with the party, Tharoor had said that some of the claims were true, but he would prefer to keep his views within the party. When Imran Masood of Congress was questioned on this on Saturday, he said that Shashi Tharoor is not a big party. If you don’t see it, you don’t see it. Nothing like that.

Whereas on Saturday afternoon itself, Shashi Tharoor, while answering the questions of the media, had said that such matters should not be discussed on public platforms. He would prefer to convey his concerns directly to the party leadership.

Such matters should not be discussed on public platforms. I have already told the party that I will not attend the program. Whatever I have to say, I will say it within the party only.

He further said, ‘I have nothing to say about the Ernakulam controversy. I wanted to launch the book at this event, but due to political commitments the book launch at Jaipur Literature Festival had to be postponed. That’s why I decided to participate in the program in Kozhikode.

I have not violated the party line: Shashi Tharoor

During this, Shashi Tharoor was also seen defending his statement on Operation Sindoor. He said that I have not violated the Congress party line in any way in Parliament. The only issue on which there has been public disagreement in principle. That is Operation Sindoor. Where I took a strong stand. I will not apologize for this.
