Heavy collision between RTC bus and lorry on NH-65 in Sadashivpet, Sangareddy, 15 passengers seriously injured.

There was a fatal collision between an RTC bus and a lorry on the bypass of National Highway 65 in Sadashivpet of Sangareddy district in the afternoon, in which 15 out of 50 passengers traveling in the bus were seriously injured. The accident occurred at the turning point near PSML Industry, when the RTC bus going from Zaheerabad to Sadashivpet bus stand collided with a lorry coming from the opposite direction. The front part of the bus was completely damaged and the passengers came out of the bus screaming. The injured were immediately rushed to the local hospital in Sadashivpet where doctors have started their treatment.

Police and local together were doing rescue from the spot

According to ground report, police and local people were doing rescue together. The bus driver told that the lorry was taking a sudden turn and the speed was high. This road is filled with hundreds of vehicles every day but the lack of signals or speed breakers at the turning point has been a matter of complaint for years. Such accidents are not new in Telangana. Let us tell you that in November also, 20 people lost their lives in a collision between an RTC bus and a truck in Rangareddy, which included a three-month-old child. Even then the government had promised safety audit on the highway but the implementation was slow.

RTC officials immediately issued a statement that the fitness of the driver will be checked and action will be taken after the investigation is completed. Among the injured are some women and elderly people whose condition is said to be stable. The family members are waiting outside the hospital and are repeatedly asking how long it will remain dangerous to travel on the road.
