Hideout of terrorists found in Garang forest of Poonch, Romeo Force recovered explosives from the spot.

Indian Army’s Romeo Force has busted a hideout of terrorists in Poonch district. This hideout is said to be in the Garang forests of Loran situated at the heights of Poonch district. From here the force has got items like ID along with logistics items. Even in extreme cold, security forces are continuously patrolling the area to find and eliminate the terrorists hiding in the forest.

Earlier on Tuesday, news had come that security forces had cordoned off and started a search operation in the border areas and mountainous areas of Poonch and Kishtwar districts.

There was information about the presence of two terrorists

While giving information, officials had said that after receiving information about the presence of two terrorist groups operating in Doda-Kishtwar forest areas, security forces started a cordon and search operation in Chatru Valley.

Surveillance is being maintained through drones and other aerial surveillance equipment

Soldiers are keeping an eye on terrorist activities here. The soldiers deployed here are monitoring using drones and other aerial surveillance equipment. Two groups of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists are suspected to be present in the area. During this period, the soldiers have taken help of aerial surveillance support and sniffer dogs.

The front is being maintained at a height of 13 thousand feet.

In view of the Army’s vigilance regarding the New Year, security forces have intensified checking of vehicles on Pathankot, Jammu and Srinagar National Highways in Kathua, Samba, Jammu and Udhampur districts. Security forces are keeping a strict vigil on the terrorists.
