The victim was living in an attic apartment with her husband. In the year 2025, Sangeeta came to live with her son Dilip on the fourth floor of the same apartment. During this time, a friendship developed between Sangeeta and the victim and both of them started visiting each other. During this time, the closeness between Sangeeta’s son Dilip and the victim also increased.
Police investigation has revealed that an illicit relationship had developed between Dilip and the victim and both of them often met alone. During this, Dilip took about 850 grams of gold, 120 grams of diamond jewellery, 2 kg of silver and about 20 thousand rupees from the victim on the pretext of need. When the victim asked him to return the money and jewellery, a dispute started between the two.
Dilip threatened the victim
It is alleged that after this Dilip threatened the victim that he would post their personal photos and videos on social media and defame them. When the victim’s husband came to know about this entire matter, he demanded the return of money and jewelery from Dilip and his mother. After this, Dilip and his mother vacated the apartment and ran away and their mobile phone also got switched off.
Police started searching for absconding accused Dilip
The victim has lodged a complaint with the police, in which Dilip and his mother have been accused of snatching jewellery, money and threatening them through personal photographs and videos. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered the case and started investigation.
Police said that a case has already been registered against Dilip in August 2024 for defrauding lakhs of rupees by befriending women through social media in the name of getting them air hostess jobs. At present, the police is busy searching for the absconding accused Dilip and this entire incident is being investigated in depth.
