Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi celebrated Holi with Congress leaders and supporters at the AICC office in Delhi on Wednesday. While talking to the journalists, he extended his best wishes and said, “Happy Holi. Holi filled with love and eliminating hatred to all.” Rahul Gandhi wished that this festival should remove hatred among the people. He also wished to bring hope, happiness and enthusiasm in people’s lives through Holi.
The Congress leader posted on Instagram and wrote, “Warm wishes for Holi, the festival of colors and love. May the colors of Holi fill your lives with new hopes, new enthusiasm and countless happiness.”

‘Conflicts and disputes must end’
Congress MP Rajiv Shukla also wished Holi. Shukla said that Indian National Congress is also celebrating this festival. He described Holi as a unique occasion which unites people, where people embrace each other and join in with colors in the spirit of unity and happiness. Emphasizing the need for peace in the West Asia region, Shukla said that conflicts and disputes should end.

He said it was wrong for countries to incite tension and called for harmony across the world. He said, best wishes for Holi to all the citizens. This is one of our festivals in which everyone comes together, hugs each other and applies colors. What could be more enjoyable than this? We believe that there should be peace in the world. These fights should stop. It is not right for the countries which are instigating wars to do so.
Rajiv Shukla said that the celebration of Holi is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The festival of Holi begins with the ritual of Holika Dahan known as Holika Dahan. Holi is celebrated the next day.
