Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a review meeting on Jammu and Kashmir security on Thursday (8 December 2025). Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and officials of security agencies were present in this meeting. In this meeting, discussions were held to continue anti-terrorist operations in mission mode by targeting the terrorist infrastructure and funding of terrorists.
The Home Minister said that due to the continuous and coordinated efforts of the Narendra Modi government, the terrorist ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir collapsed. The Home Minister appreciated the efforts of the security agencies in strengthening the security system of Jammu and Kashmir. Director of IB, Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir and Director General of Police, Chief of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and other senior officers were present in this meeting.
The Union Home and Cooperation Minister said that the Government of India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is committed to establishing peace in Jammu and Kashmir and completely eliminating terrorism. Reiterating the policy of zero tolerance against terrorism, Home Minister Amit Shah said that due to the continuous and coordinated efforts of the Modi government, the ecosystem of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir has collapsed.
The Union Home Minister directed all the security agencies to be on alert and work in coordination to maintain the achievements made after the abrogation of Article 370 and work towards achieving the goal of ‘terror-free Jammu and Kashmir’ soon. He assured that all necessary resources will be made available in this effort.
He assured the officials that all necessary resources will be made available to the security forces to assist in the ongoing and future operations aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the region.
