A serious case has come to light in a private engineering college located in Bachupalli area of Telangana. A third year student has been accused of sexual exploitation by allegedly giving her drugs for a long time. According to the family’s complaint, the accused student Ashish allegedly ordered drugs through the dark web, made the victim unconscious with chocolates and tablets and molested her. There is also an allegation of involvement of his friend Praveen in this case.
The matter came to light when the student, troubled by mental pressure and threats, attempted suicide. After this the family lodged a complaint with the police. According to the victim’s mother, Ashish was in contact with her daughter for the last one year. It is alleged that he ordered drugs through a site on the dark web and mixed them in chocolates and tablets and gave them to the student. The complaint states that the student was taken to rooms in the college campus and nearby hotels. Exploitation was done by taking advantage of the drunken state. Later the accused also allegedly involved his friend Praveen in this crime. In case of protest, the photo and video were threatened to go viral on social media. The family says that the student went into depression due to continuous mental and physical harassment.
Case came to light after suicide attempt
According to the family, the student attempted suicide on Saturday (28 February 2026). After this, when the family members talked to her, the entire incident came to light. The mother first complained to the college management, but reportedly no concrete action was taken. After this a formal FIR was lodged at Bachupalli Police Station. Police have registered a case under sections 64, 75 and 351(2) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Both the accused have been identified and their search is on.

An important aspect of this case is the purchase of drugs through the dark web. Police are now also investigating this angle: from where were the drugs procured? How was the money given? Are there any big networks involved? If these allegations are proved then the case may also be linked to cyber crime and illegal drug trafficking.
