The incidents of fire are not stopping in Hyderabad city and every time the question becomes deeper that for how long? Suddenly a massive fire broke out in Anu Furniture Shop located just opposite Chandanagar Police Station in Miyapur area. Within no time the entire shop caught fire. Chandanagar Police Inspector S. Vijay told ABP News that this incident happened at around 12:30 pm on Thursday (12 March 2026). The good thing is that there was no one in the shop at that time, so no one was injured in this accident. The reason for the incident is not yet known. The team is busy investigating and the cause of the fire is likely to be known soon.
Fire engulfs furniture shop
The most worrying thing was that the building is right on the edge of the main road. The wooden and foam items kept in the furniture shop acted as fuel for the fire. The fire engulfed the entire shop in a moment. Large flames could be felt up to the road and an atmosphere of panic spread among the people nearby. Three fire engines reached the spot and the fire brigade team started trying to control the fire, but due to the abundance of flammable items like furniture, it was not easy to control the fire. There was a huge traffic jam on the main road due to fire engines and crowd, the police had to enter the field separately to control the traffic.
Increasing incidents of arson in Hyderabad
This incident is not just a fire in a shop, it is another series of increasing incidents of arson in Hyderabad, which raises serious questions. Where are the fire safety arrangements in commercial buildings built along main roads? Is Fire NOC or not? If such a shop right in front of the police station can burn to the ground, then what will be the condition of other areas? The economic loss is said to be huge and investigation is ongoing.
