Monalisa said in the press conference, ‘Our marriage took place as per Hindu customs. Actually, he did not want to marry me. But I forced myself to do so. My parents wanted me to marry someone else at home. I didn’t like that boy. He was aunt’s son. If I marry my aunt’s son, he will be considered my brother. So that’s why I thought that I will not marry.
Monalisa further said, ‘My father did not attend the wedding here. He came here with me. But he is a little angry. I got married as per Hindu customs, there is nothing like that which people are saying is love jihad. Neither of us has changed any religion. Then Farman said, ‘We are artists. For us all religions are the same. All religions are my religions.’

Then Farman told that he is an actor and works in South Hindi films. He said, ‘I got married as per Hindu customs. Monalisa is a Hindu. I did as Monalisa said. I want her happiness. I love him. We have not changed each other’s religion.
