He has publicly apologized for his relationship with sexual abuse accused Jeffrey Epstein and affair with two Russian women. He also admitted that it was a big mistake of his to have a relationship with Epstein, due to which the image of his foundation was also tarnished.

According to the Wall Street Journal report, in a meeting with the charity foundation’s staff, Gates described his time spent with Epstein as the biggest mistake of his life and publicly apologized to the foundation’s staff. Spending time with Epstein and including foundation officials in the meeting was a big mistake, he said during the meeting. He apologized to the affected people of the foundation and said, ‘I apologize to all those who are trapped in this due to my mistake.’
Confession of relations with Russian women
Gates has reportedly admitted to having affairs with two Russian women (a bridge player and a nuclear physicist) who are mentioned in the Epstein files, a foundation spokesperson said in a statement to Reuters. However, he also clarified that those relations have no connection with Epstein’s victims. He said he did not do anything illegal. However, his decisions caused damage to the Gates Foundation. His statement came to light when his name surfaced in the Epstein files recently.
