Apart from being a great comedian, Neil Pal is also a great actor and voice over artist. People like watching his comedy a lot. However, comedians are often seen garnering limelight for their controversial statements.
Recently, during an interview, he spoke openly about Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma. He said that the way Kapil has changed with the changing times is praiseworthy. At the same time, he also criticized the character of Sunil Grover who was seen in a woman’s look in The Kapil Sharma Show.
It’s human nature to always want change.
Actually, in Siddharth Kannan’s podcast, he was asked about those comedians who have disappeared from the industry and some who are still firmly in the industry. In response, Sunil said, ‘It has been 21 years. It is human nature that we always want change. Change has to be adopted with time, otherwise you can get stuck in a particular circle and become limited. Both Naveen Prabhakar and Ahsan Qureshi became victims of this. He hasn’t changed himself, that’s what I feel.
He further said, ‘In the last 40 years, Johnny Lever is the only one who inspired people to change in his time. I am his fan. Apart from him, I have also seen tremendous talent in Kapil Sharma. He also changed himself and so did Sunil Grover. In the last 20 years I have seen hardly 5 people changing. Otherwise, people are still mimicking market jokes, old artists and not trying anything new.
Said this about Sunil Grover
Apart from this, he also gave his reaction on seeing Sunil Grover performing in a cross-dressed role. Sunil Pal said, ‘We both had worked together a lot in the beginning of our career. But, I felt strange seeing him acting as a woman. So much so that once I vomited while eating while looking at them. I find it disgusting to be seen in a woman’s getup, it should not be done. By the way, I am a fan of his work. People who use vulgarity and abuse are earning crores and I also had this option earlier.
