According to Gainesville Police, the incident occurred on Monday (February 10). A single-engine plane makes an emergency landing near an intersection in downtown Gainesville and collides with several vehicles, resulting in two narrow escapes. A pilot and a student were on board the plane, both of their lives were saved.

During a conversation with local media, pilot Rogers said, “The plane’s engine failed while taking off from Gainesville. We tried to come back by gliding. We followed all the rules, but realized that we had gone so far that we would not be able to come back.”
