Shankaracharya of Jyotish Peeth Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati is protesting in the ongoing Magh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Acharya Rishi Ajay Das, founder of Kinnar Akhara, has targeted his ongoing protest against the Yogi government.
Speaking to the media in Jaipur, the founder of Kinnar Akhara described Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand’s protest as politically motivated. He alleged that the protest was being organized in a planned manner. He said that Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand is staging a protest along with the opposition to defame the Yogi government. According to Acharya Rishi Ajay Das, Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda has also made inappropriate remarks about Tulsi Peethadhishwar Jagatguru Rambhadracharya.
Ajay Das asked questions to Avimukteshwaranand
Ajay Das while asking the question said that Avimukteshwarananda should be told that if Rambhadracharya is the self-proclaimed Jagatguru then is he not the self-proclaimed Shankaracharya? Why does he not have the support of any other Shankaracharya except Guru Bhai Shankaracharya Sadanand? He also said that the tradition to which Avimukteshwaranand belongs has always been associated with a particular party.
Founder of Kinnar Akhara, Ajay Das said that if his (Avimukteshwarananda) palanquin had caused a stampede or met with an accident, then who would have been responsible? The tradition of bathing with palanquin happens only during Kumbh and Mahakumbh. The administration reserves a separate route for that.
‘Saints are working like slaves of political parties’
Ajay Das alleged that Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand is doing such work at the behest of political parties. This kind of work should never be done. There should be no politics in the fair of faith. Saints like Avimukteshwarananda are working like slaves of political parties. He further said that earlier the Saints and Mahatmas used to control the power but today people like them remain as sycophants.
