‘If Netaji Bose was alive, he would also have been called for hearing’, Mamata Banerjee furious at Election Commission regarding SIR

Assembly elections are to be held in West Bengal this year. In such a situation, the round of political commentary continues. While on one hand the Election Commission team is on the ground to correct the voter list under the SIR process in the state, on the other hand opposition is also being seen. In such a situation a new controversy has arisen.

Mamta Banerjee asked- If Bose was alive…

Recently, Chandra Kumar Bose, grandson of Subhash Chandra Bose, India’s freedom fighter and main hero of the freedom struggle, appeared along with his family members in a hearing related to SIR. Now Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s statement on this has come out. He sarcastically asked that if Subhash Chandra Bose had been alive today, would he have also been called for hearing?

Mamata Banerjee said in the statement, ‘If Subhash Chandra Bose was alive today, would he also have been called for hearing? Or they too would have been called ‘logical inconsistencies’. They would ask him whether he was an Indian or not. He has already called Chandrababu (Chandra Kumar Bose). He was called for hearing. Their names have been removed from the list.

He said that 1 lakh 38 thousand people have been called. Before that, names of 58 lakh people have been removed. This is a unilateral action. Remember, the total number is 2 crores. If names of 2 crore people out of 7 crore are removed, how many people will lose their rights?

Chandra Kumar Bose had raised questions on SIR process

In fact, there was an uproar regarding the SIR when Subhash Chandra Bose’s grandson Chandra Kumar Bose and his family were called for hearing in this process. He also appeared on Monday. During this he raised questions on the process. Also said that this process is important. It is not being done properly. There is a lack of clarity in this.

Bose had claimed that he and his family members had submitted all the required documents along with their census forms. Still we were called for hearing. The reason for this was very shocking, because polling officials said that there was a problem in linking the data. I am not complaining because I was called for SIR, but because the entire process is disorganized and without any clarity.
