Now he has expressed regret over this derogatory statement. In his statement, the BJP state president had dragged the name of actress Trisha Krishnan into the attack on actor-turned-politician Vijay. What did the BJP state president say?
Taking aim at actor Vijay, BJP state president said, ‘I feel pity for him. They don’t have experience. He should go out of Trisha’s house first. He should have good relations with his family. He had given this statement in response to the claim of actor Vijay, in which he had talked about presenting a major claim in the upcoming assembly elections. During the programme, he had raised questions on Vijay’s political ambitions.
Trisha expressed objection to the statement
Trisha’s legal advisor condemned this statement of the BJP state president. The statement said, “Trisha never expected that such an inappropriate comment would be made by someone holding a high position in the field of politics. It further said, she is known only for her work, her name should not be dragged in matters with which she has no connection.”
BJP state president expressed regret
BJP state president has now expressed regret over his statement. He said, if his statement has hurt anyone, then he regrets it. This statement was given by mistake. Vanathi Srinivasan and Annamalai, heads of our All India Women’s Wing, have spoken to me on this matter. If my statement has hurt anyone, I deeply apologize for it.”
