‘Ikkis’ is based on the short but heroic life of the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal (Agastya Nanda Starr). The film describes the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India-Pakistan War, where Arun Khetarpal attained martyrdom. The film stars late Dharmendra as Arun’s father Brigadier Madan Lal Khetarpal, who visits Pakistan 30 years after his son’s martyrdom. Jaideep Ahlawat has played the role of Brigadier Jan Mohammad Nisar.
