Shivam Dube Bowled The Ball Outside The Pitch Against Zimbabwe: In the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Team India achieved a big win by 72 runs against Zimbabwe in its second Super-8 match. This match was played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai last night i.e. on 26th February. Everything went well for the Indian team in this match, except Shivam Dubey. Shivam did not bat in this match, but he performed very disappointingly in bowling. With this, Dubey has become the bowler who bowled the most expensive over for India in the T20 World Cup.
Shivam Dubey threw the ball outside the pitch
According to ICC rules, the length of the pitch is 22 yards, while the width of the pitch is 10 feet. If the ball falls outside the pitch to the right or left then the umpire declares it a no ball. After conceding 17 runs on the first 5 balls of the 15th over of Zimbabwe’s innings, Shivam Dubey tried to bowl a wide yorker on the last ball, but the ball fell outside the pitch. Because of this the umpire declared the ball a no ball. After this, Shivam Dubey bowled two wide balls on the free hit and then hit a six.
Actually, according to the rules of MCC, if the ball goes completely or partially out of the pitch area before reaching the line of the striker batsman’s wicket, then the umpire can give no ball.
Gave 46 runs in two overs against Zimbabwe
Shivam Dubey bowled two overs against Zimbabwe. While he gave 26 runs in the first over, he gave away 20 runs in the second also. He gave a total of 46 runs in the spell in two overs. This is the highest number of runs spent by a bowler in two overs in T20 World Cup history. Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav handed the ball to Shivam for the 15th over. This is the most expensive over (26 runs) by any Indian bowler in the T20 World Cup. In the year 2007, Yuvraj Singh gave 25 runs in one over against New Zealand.
