Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two new corridors of Delhi Metro on Sunday (March 8, 2026). Apart from this, the foundation stone of development projects worth about Rs 33 thousand 500 crore was also laid in the national capital.
PM Modi has inaugurated the Majlis Park-Maujpur-Babarpur section of DMRC’s Pink Line and Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park section of the Magenta Line. Now the Pink Line has been extended to 71.56 kilometers.

Length of Magenta Line increased to 49KM
The Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park corridor extends the Magenta Line to a length of approximately 49 kilometres. It is noteworthy that Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park section is an extension of Botanical Garden-Krishna Park Extension Magenta Line. Many areas of Delhi will benefit from the new connectivity, including Burari, Jagatpur-Wazirabad, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar, Madhuban Chowk, Haiderpur Badli Mod, Bhalswa and Majlis Park etc.
