The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has extended its ‘UPI One World’ wallet service to international delegates attending the India AI Impact Summit 2026. As part of a pilot initiative, the facility is being offered to visitors from more than 40 countries who are participating in the summit at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20.
The service allows foreign travelers to make real-time person-to-merchant (P2M) payments across India seamlessly — without the need for a local bank account or even an Indian mobile number — making digital transactions significantly easier during their stay.
‘One World’ wallet lets visitors enjoy Indian shops, eateries and services using “Made in India” digital payments, avoiding the hassle of cash or repeated currency exchange.
