Today a new chapter has been added in the relations between India and Brazil. Trade deal has been signed between India and Brazil. In the bilateral talks held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, consensus has been reached on important issues which can give a new impetus to the economy of both the countries. Welcoming President Lula and his delegation to India, Prime Minister Modi said, ‘I am very happy to welcome President Lula and his delegation to India. India-Brazil relations have long benefited from his vision and inspirational leadership.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that there have been many meetings between the two leaders in the last few years and every time President Lula’s deep friendship and trust towards India has been clearly felt. PM Modi said that this visit of President Lula also gives new energy to the historic AI Impact Summit and strengthens the strategic partnership of the two countries.

Target to take business beyond 20 billion dollars
Prime Minister Modi said that Brazil is India’s largest trading partner in Latin America. Both countries are committed to taking bilateral trade beyond $20 billion in the next five years. He said, ‘Our trade is not just a figure, it is a reflection of mutual trust. The large business delegation that came with President Lula shows this confidence.
Focus on technology and global south
Prime Minister Modi said that cooperation in technology and innovation is important not only for India and Brazil, but for the entire Global South. Partnership in AI, digital technology and startup ecosystem can also provide new direction to developing countries.
