After the inaugural ceremony of India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri inaugurated the Hydrogen Zone in Goa today (January 27, 2026). Organized by Oil India, this Hydrogen Zone showcases cutting-edge hydrogen technologies and solutions shaping India’s low-carbon and clean energy future.
The Hydrogen Zone brings together innovative technologies for the production, storage and use of hydrogen on a single platform, providing a comprehensive overview of the various pathways being adopted globally towards clean energy. Through curated exhibits and industry engagement, the zone provides an opportunity to understand how hydrogen can play a vital role in reducing carbon emissions in hard-to-reach sectors such as refining, fertiliser, steel and mobility.
