Iran has given indications regarding the passage of Indian ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bagai said that Iran does not intend to disrupt the world’s oil supply, although ships of the countries involved in the war will not be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. He told that an Indian ship was recently allowed to pass safely through this route and has reached India.

The Iranian spokesperson said that the increasing insecurity in the entire region is also affecting the Strait of Hormuz, but Iran is not responsible for it. He said that some countries attacked Iran during the talks and imposed war on Iran, due to which war broke out in the region. He also clarified that according to international law, ships of countries that are involved in the war against Iran will not be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz route, because there is a possibility of it helping in the war.

Other countries may get permission

Iran has indicated that ships from countries not involved in the war may be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. It is important for India, because a large part of India’s maritime trade and energy supply passes through this route.
