Crisis deepens in Bengaluru

Bengaluru Hotels Association has announced that hotels will be closed across the city from tomorrow. Today, hotels are open at some places because there is cylinder stock at present, as soon as the stock gets exhausted, the hotels will be closed due to lack of gas supply.
20 percent hotels closed in Mumbai
Due to shortage of cylinders, 20 percent of the hotels in the country’s financial capital Mumbai have been closed. Even many big hotels have only a few hours of supply left. Hotel operators say that if the gas shortage continues for the next 3 days, then 50 percent of the hotels in Mumbai are likely to be closed. The shutters of all the hotels in Dongri area of ​​Mumbai are closed.
The condition of the country’s capital is also bad
Empty commercial cylinders are lying in the warehouse at Indane Gas Agency in Delhi. The supply of commercial cylinders has not arrived for the last two days. The in-charge and manager say that it has been said from above that the commercial cylinder will not arrive yet. There will be supply only for domestic booking. Hoteliers are coming to us, but we do not have any cylinder. The manager says that we used to supply 60 to 70 commercial cylinders every day, but there is no stock since last 2 days. Empty commercial cylinders are lying here. When it doesn’t come full, it will remain empty here.
There is shortage in Lucknow also
Gas problem has also started in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. A large number of people are lining up in front of the agencies, but gas is not being supplied. People say that now even new gas booking is not being done. He said that some had previous gas booking 1 month, some 2 months ago and now the DAC number is not appearing in the new gas booking and without the DSC number the gas will not be available.
Trouble in Haryana too
A large number of commercial gas cylinders are kept in the warehouse of Indane Gas Agency in Chandigarh. According to the employees, supply of commercial cylinders is not available for the last four days, due to which the cylinders coming are getting accumulated here. According to employee Sonu, hotel and restaurant owners are asking about the cylinder. But we do not have cylinders available and the supply of domestic gas has also been halved according to them.
Commercial gas cylinders have also been banned in Madhya Pradesh. Hotel operators in the capital Bhopal are not getting commercial gas cylinders. Since yesterday evening, there has been no supply of commercial gas cylinders in the restaurants, hotels and shops of Bhopal.
What did LPG Distributors Federation officials say?
PN Seth, Executive President of All India LPG Distributors Federation, said that at present there is no shortage of supply in the entire country. The supply may be disrupted in Bengaluru due to some other reason, but for now a reserve has been kept in the country. He further said that even on normal days, there is a problem in supply for one or two days. The government has also made preparations to deal with this.
He told that the second cylinder will be available after 25 days and only 15 cylinders can be booked in a year. This is because on an average only 10 cylinders are required per capita, but if a family wants to book more than 15 cylinders, then they can go to the portal of their Oil Company and book the cylinder by giving their reason.
