India vs Pakistan U19 Asia Cup 2025: In the much-awaited match played between India and Pakistan in the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025, the Indian team gave a brilliant all-round performance and defeated Pakistan by 90 runs. In this Group-A match played in Dubai, India registered its strong presence in the tournament by dominating with both bat and ball.
Due to rain this match was reduced to 49-49 overs. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first, but the Indian batsmen adopted an aggressive approach from the beginning.
India’s innings: Aaron George’s strong half-century
Due to rain the match was played in 49-49 overs. The Indian team, which came to bat first after losing the toss, had an aggressive start. Opener and captain Ayush Mhatre played a quick inning of 38 runs (25 balls). However, 14 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi could not play a big innings in this match and was out early.
Aaron George took charge of the batting of the Indian team. He played a very simple but effective innings and scored 85 runs. During this, 12 fours and one six came from his bat. He missed the century, but his innings was very important for India. All-rounder Kanishk Chauhan also scored 46 runs and took the team to a strong score. India scored 240 runs in 49 overs.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Syam and Abdul Subhan took 3 wickets each, while spinner Naqib Shafiq maintained the pressure in the middle overs.
Pakistan’s innings: Team scattered due to initial shocks
Chasing the target of 241 runs, Pakistan team looked under pressure from the very beginning. Fast bowler Deepesh Devendran wreaked havoc in the initial overs and shook the top order. Pakistan had lost four wickets for 51 runs in 19 overs. Huzaifa Ahsan struggled alone and scored 70 runs, but she did not get much support from the other end. The rest of the batsmen including captain Farhan Yusuf could not stand against the Indian bowlers.
Deepesh Devendran and Kanishk Chauhan took 3 wickets each. Vaibhav Suryavanshi took a wicket in his only over and also took a brilliant catch. Finally, Kishan Kumar Singh took 2 wickets and ended Pakistan’s innings at 150 runs in 41.2 overs.
India on top in Group-A
With this spectacular victory, India has strengthened the top position in Group-A. The balanced performance in both batting and bowling clearly showed that the Indian Under-19 team is a strong contender for the title in this tournament.
