Indian Student Death: Indian student Saket Srinivasiah, who was missing in America, died, body found after 6 days, know the whole matter

The body of 22-year-old Indian student Saket Srinivasiah, who was missing in America since February 9, has been recovered. The Indian Consulate in San Francisco confirmed this on Sunday. Saket Srinivasaiah was a resident of Tumkuru district of Karnataka and was pursuing post-graduation at the University of California, Berkeley. He was last seen near a lake near Tilden Regional Park, California.

The Indian Consulate said on social media platform X that the local police has confirmed that Saket’s body has been recovered. The embassy expressed deep condolences to his family and said that they stand with the family in this difficult time. The embassy also said that they are coordinating with the local authorities and will provide all possible assistance in the process of sending the mortal remains to India. Consular officials are in touch with the family and are helping with necessary formalities.

The family had asked for help

Saket’s father had told that he last spoke to his son on 9 February. After the son went missing, the family contacted his friends and roommates. When no information was received, a complaint was filed with the Berkeley Police Department. On February 13, Saket’s parents had also sought help from the Karnataka government. The Karnataka government had requested the Ministry of External Affairs to intervene and provide all possible assistance.

Saket’s education qualification

Saket was studying Master of Science in Product Development program at the University of California, Berkeley. Before this, he had obtained B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras.
