Indian Tyson overpowered Jaish terrorists, how ‘Operation Trashi-1’ succeeded with the martyrdom of a dog

The joint team of Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF has achieved major success in Operation Trashi-1 in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. In this operation, three terrorists of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed were killed, including a most wanted commander Saifullah, who had escaped arrest 20 times. The special thing is that there was no human casualty from the security forces in this entire operation, only the brave sniffer dog Tyson, who had started the operation, got injured.

Operation carried out under the leadership of CIF

The Indian Army told in the press conference that Operation Trashi-1 was started in January 2026, when intelligence was received that Pakistani terrorists were hiding in the forests of Chatru area. This operation was conducted under the leadership of Counter Insurgency Force (CIF) Delta of White Knight Corps. Speaking at a joint press conference on Sunday, Major General APS Bal, SM, GOC of CIF Delta, said, ‘This operation is the result of determination, clear thinking, proper planning and months of hard work. It was successful due to the joint approach of all agencies and unmatched coordination at all levels. From the soldiers working on the ground to the DGP and the Army Commander, everyone contributed.

He further said, ‘We acted in a calm, restrained and co-operative manner, due to which we achieved success without any soldier being harmed, except the brave Doug Tyson.’ Tyson was a sniffer dog, who was at the forefront in tracking the location of terrorists. He got injured during the encounter and later died.

Many weapons including AK-47 and ammunition recovered

Prominent among the three terrorists killed was Saifullah, who was the top commander of Jaish. The other two were also of Pakistani origin. During the encounter, the terrorists first started firing, in response to which the security forces surrounded them. After intense firing, the bodies of all three were found in burnt condition. Two AK-47 rifles, grenades, ammunition and other war material were recovered from the spot.

An officer said, ‘The operation took place in a hilly and forested area, where both the weather and geography were challenging. But due to the preparation and intelligence of the team, everything remained under control.

Search operation intensified in the area after the encounter

Senior officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police were also present in the press conference. He said that this operation is the result of joint efforts of Intelligence Bureau, Army Intelligence and local police. Now the search operation has been intensified in the area so that no more terrorists are left. An appeal has been made to the local people to inform about any suspicious activity.
