‘Indian team has come to win the World Cup’
While talking to ABP News, Akhtar said, “Whether you are Indian or Pakistani, you have to accept that the Indian team has come to win the World Cup. If any team can stop it, it would probably be England or Australia.”
‘Pakistan was nowhere in the match’
Talking further, Akhtar said, “Look, the way Pakistan played, Pakistan was nowhere in the match. We don’t need 23 runs from Shaheen Shah Afridi, we need wickets from him. He is bowling at 125 (kilometres per hour).”

Pakistan is far behind in modern cricket
Akhtar emphasized that Pakistan is not playing modern cricket in any respect. Taking his point forward, Akhtar said, “What Pakistan is playing is not the need for modern cricket. India is playing the cricket of the next 100 years or the cricket of 50 years ahead. Pakistan is playing very bad cricket and when it comes to this format (T20 International), it has lagged far behind.”
