Tamil Nadu News: A shocking case has come to light from Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, where a college student, who was in love with a youth from a different community, died under suspicious circumstances. This incident created a stir in the area.
Pachirjan is living with his family in Sekkadi Street near Pettai in Tirunelveli district. His wife Revati is a teacher in a private school. Pachirjan is working as a driver in the State Transport Corporation. The first daughter of this couple is married, while the second daughter Shivmati is pursuing her graduation in a private college. In this situation, love blossomed between Shivamathi and Ananda Krishnan of Kasar Street, Pettai.
Decided to get Shivmati married
Let us tell you that both belong to different communities. Because of this, opposition to love started in Shivmati’s house. Apart from this, Pachirjan also hastily decided to marry a relative’s son. Meanwhile, Shivmati strongly opposed the forced marriage. Therefore, the parents decided to get Shivamathi married to Anand Krishnan, as they had no other option.
Their marriage was to take place on February 6 at the Dakshinamurthy temple in Puliyarai. Shivmati’s relatives were not interested in this marriage and insisted on stopping the marriage somehow. There has been a debate between both the parties in this regard.
Health deteriorated suddenly, death occurred
Meanwhile, on the night of February 1, Shivamati’s health deteriorated and her family took her to Kandiaperi Hospital in the town. After examining Shivmati, the doctors said that she had died. Subsequently, the Pettai police registered a case under mysterious death in connection with this incident and are investigating. Meanwhile, Anand Krishnan’s family has filed a complaint of honor killing of Shivamathi. It has also come to light that injury marks were found on his neck.
Anand Krishnan talked to the media
Later speaking to the media, Anand Krishnan said, “Yesterday Shivamati’s family took away her cellphone. Shivamati’s maternal uncle scolded Shivamati badly and talked about caste discrimination. Her grandmother called me and told me about the problem that happened at home. At 4 in the evening, they talked to Shivamati on the terrace of the house. After that, they said that she died at 6 in the evening. Shivamati has been honored with murder.”
At present, Pettai Police has started investigation considering the case as suspicious death. The post mortem report is awaited. Police say that investigation is being done from all aspects and appropriate action will be taken after the truth comes out.
