According to the report of Counterpoint Research, the trend of people moving towards premium phones continued in the fourth quarter also. Now the ultra-premium segment of phones priced above Rs 45,000 in India has 17 percent market share. It has not been this high in any previous quarter. This shows that people in India are now getting more attracted towards expensive smartphones. Apple has benefited the most from this trend and iPhone 16 has topped as the best-selling phone of this quarter. Apple has benefited from many things like targeted promotion, better channel management.
