Apple iPhone 17e: Apple seems to be preparing to further strengthen its affordable smartphone portfolio in the global market including India. There is talk that the new iPhone 17e can be introduced this week, although the company has not yet given official confirmation. According to reports, this model may come with many important improvements compared to the existing iPhone 16e. Changes are expected in areas like battery, processor, design and camera.
Powerful processor and new smart capabilities
It is being told that A19 chipset can be given in the new model which is the processor used in the premium series. It is considered to be faster and more powerful than the current A18. With the help of the new chip, users can experience better gaming, smooth multitasking and advanced photo editing. Also, the company’s new smart technology Apple Intelligence is also likely to get support, which can make writing emails, creating images and using voice assistant easier than before.
Big changes can be seen in the design
For many years, a traditional notch was seen at the top of the screen in budget iPhones. Now there is a possibility that this time the company may include Dynamic Island feature in this segment also. This interactive notification area displays information like alerts, music controls and timer in a different way, which improves both the look and usability of the phone.
New modem and better connectivity
According to reports, the company’s own developed C1X modem can be found in the device. This modem is designed to provide fast download speed and stable network connection in congested areas. Also, it is being said to be more battery efficient due to which improvement in battery backup can also be seen.
MagSafe and long lasting battery
This time a big update can also be seen regarding wireless charging. It is reported that MagSafe support will be added to the phone, so that magnetic chargers and accessories can be easily attached. This will make wireless charging more convenient than before.
Expected upgrade in camera
In the camera section, the 48-megapixel rear sensor may remain intact but there is talk of increasing the front camera from 12-megapixel to 18-megapixel. Better HDR, low-light photography and improvement in detailing are also expected which can be attributed to the new processor.
Regarding the price, it is estimated that its starting price in India could be around Rs 59,999 and the launch is possible in the third week of February 2026. However, this information is yet to be officially approved by the company.
