Work is going on on these upgrades
Reports of variable aperture in iPhone 18 Pro have been coming out for a long time. With variable aperture the camera is able to control the light reaching the sensor. For this reason, if a photo is being taken in the dark, the aperture can be opened more, due to which more light will reach the sensor and a brighter photo will be obtained. At the same time, if there is too much light then the aperture is closed to reduce over-exposure. This also gives control over the depth of field. This feature is going to come on both iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max models. This feature has not been provided in any iPhone model before today.
This is the second major upgrade
Now a recent report has claimed that Apple is testing a telephoto camera with large aperture for iPhone 18 Pro models. iPhone 17 models have a telephoto camera with ƒ/2.8 aperture. Its camera was upgraded to 48MP sensor, but the aperture size remained the same as the old generation. Now a larger aperture can be given in iPhone 18 Pro models. This will improve the light gathering, shutter speed, background separation and noise performance of the camera. Overall, both the features will make your photos better.
When will iPhone 18 Pro models be launched?
Like every time, Apple can launch iPhone 18 Pro models in September this year. Along with these, the first foldable iPhone and iPhone Air 2 can also be launched. The standard variant of the iPhone 18 series will be launched in February-March next year.
