Amidst the ongoing war in the Middle East, an Indian oil tanker has escaped the attack at Fujairah port and headed towards India. The government gave this information on Sunday. It has been told by the government that during the drone attack on Fujairah port of UAE, an oil tanker carrying the Indian flag remained completely safe. It has now left for India with a cargo of 80,800 metric tons of crude oil.
Here, in a statement from the government, it has been said that all the Indian sailors present in West Asia are safe. No incident involving Indian sailors has been reported since Saturday. Indian flagged Jag Ladki tanker was loading crude oil in Fujairah. Then the port’s oil terminal was attacked.
What other information has the government given?
Apart from this, it has been said in the statement that the ship departed safely from Fujairah at 10.30 am Indian time on Sunday. All the citizens on board the ship are safe. Two Indian-flagged LPG carrier ships Shivalik and Nanda Devi Bhai are heading towards ports with 92712 metric tonnes of LPG after passing through the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday. He will reach Mundra port on 16 March and Kandla port on 17 March.

Apart from this, about 22 Indian ships are present on the Strait of Hormuz. There are 611 Indian sailors on board. The Directorate General of Shipping is keeping an eye on them. The Directorate General has helped about 276 Indian sailors in their return to their country. These also include 23 sailors brought back on Saturday.

Here, due to the war situation, there has been turmoil in the global market. There has been a jump in the prices of aluminium. The supply of about 3 lakh barrels of oil has been stopped.
