Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar has given a clear message regarding the US-Israel joint military action that there is no change in the goal of the operation against Iran. He said that the objective of this campaign is completely fixed and a policy of “no shifting of the goalposts” has been adopted in this regard. Azar clarified the current mission of the war in three main points.
Three goals of war decided, work in the same direction
The Israeli ambassador said, “We made it clear from the beginning that our three goals are to neutralize the nuclear threat, eliminate the ballistic missile threat, and give the Iranian people the opportunity to embrace the future by reducing the capacity of repressive forces.”
He stressed that the military operation is being carried out in accordance with these objectives and no changes have been made in it. “That’s exactly what we’re doing. There’s been no change in our objectives.” According to Azar, the ultimate goal of this war is to ensure that the Iranian regime cannot establish such military programs again after the conflict ends.
Iran’s retaliation “expected”
Responding to recent incidents, Azar said Iran’s military response is not surprising. According to him, after the previous action in June, Israel had reduced Iran’s offensive capability to a great extent. He said, “We are not surprised. We knew Iran had this capability. But after our efforts in June, their capability has diminished and this time the damage caused to Israel is much less than before.”
Attacks on many countries were called irresponsible
The ambassador described Iran’s targeting of several countries in the region as a step to escalate the conflict. “They have increased tensions by attacking 12 countries. This is a completely irresponsible step.”
Azar appealed to the international community to view Iran as the main aggressor in this conflict. “The pressure is on them and will remain because they are the aggressors.”
Global strategy and regional impact
This statement of the Israeli envoy has come at a time when tension in the Middle East is at its peak and security concerns have increased in many countries. Experts believe that such statements also affect the political and diplomatic dimensions of the conflict. According to Reuven Azar, the focus of the US-Israel alliance is clear — weakening Iran’s military capabilities and ensuring regional security. He says that there will be no change in this strategy, no matter how long the conflict continues.
This statement indicates that the geopolitical equation of the Middle East may become more complex in the coming times, because both sides seem to be firm on their respective goals.
