Iranian drone attack rocks Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah; airspace shut, flights canceled – 10 updates on situation in UAE

Multiple drone attacks continued to rock United Arab Emirates’ energy facilities on Tuesday. The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority recently announced temporary and full closure of the country’s airspace. This comes as “an exceptional precautionary measure” as Iranian drones and missiles batter energy infrastructure around the Persian Gulf in the third week of war with the US and Israel.

In view of the prevailing situation in UAE, its education council announced “continuation of distance learning in schools and higher education institutions” as it called for flexible remote work arrangements for caregivers among federal government employees.
