Galgotias University got embroiled in controversy due to Robo Dog in AI Impact Summit. It has been alleged that the robo dog shown by the university at the summit has been imported from China. When the matter escalated, the university was shown the way out of the summit. Now Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology S. Krishnan has reacted to this.

Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, said, “We want genuine and correct work to be displayed in the expo. Our aim is that it should not be used as an opportunity in any other way. Therefore, it is very important to follow the rules here. Misinformation cannot be promoted at all. Therefore, we do not want any kind of controversy. We do not want to get into the issue of whether it is right or wrong, we do not want any kind of controversy.”

University blames professor
After the controversy, Galgotias University also issued a statement and blamed Professor Neha Singh for it. According to Galgotias University, the concerned representative did not have proper technical knowledge of the product. In his excitement he said factually incorrect things about the technical source of the product. Further said that sorry for the confusion and said to accept the decision of the organisers.

Actually, AI Impact Summit is being organized at Bharat Mandapam located in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Galgotia University’s stall was set up in the expo area, the Robodog displayed by them attracted everyone’s attention, but it sparked controversy on social media. In the ‘Make in India’ themed summit, there was an allegation of calling it a foreign product. It was said to be similar to the Go2 model of Chinese company Unitree.
