Controversy has arisen before the concert of Punjabi singer Karan Aujla, which is going to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on 28th February. Municipal Corporation of India has issued an official notice showing strictness on this big music event organized under ‘P-POP Culture India Tour 2026’. In this notice issued by the Health Department, Central Zone on 27 February 2026, many serious shortcomings related to the event have been pointed out.
MCD banned these things
According to the notice, this program was being organized without a health trade license. The organizers had obtained a temporary health trade license under the ‘open space’ category and the event is to be held in a stadium, where this license is not considered valid. Apart from this, the person setting up and selling food stalls was also not found to have a valid health trade license. MCD has clearly said that it is mandatory for any food stall or outlet to obtain a valid license before opening it.
It is mandatory to follow these rules
In view of the large crowd, MCD has given many important instructions to the organizers. These include arranging adequate temporary toilets and urinals separately for men and women, strictly following Solid Waste Management (SWM) rules, arranging for proper collection and disposal of waste. Besides, instructions have also been given to install signboards related to cleanliness, waste management, emergency exit and public safety. It has also been said in the notice that before the program starts, all the deficiencies will have to be removed and a compliance report will have to be submitted. If this is not done then strict action will be taken under DMC Act without any information.
All departments will remain alert
This notice has been addressed to Rohit Prakash Bhuwad, representative of Team Entertainment Innovation LLP. Its copy has also been sent to Deputy Commissioner Central Zone, DCP South District, SDM Defense Colony, SHO Defense Colony and Stadium Administration, so that all the departments remain in coordination. At present, preparations are going on for the concert, but this strictness of MCD has increased the pressure on the organizers. Now everyone’s eyes are on whether the organizers will be able to follow all the rules before the scheduled time or whether the sword of administrative action will continue to hang over this high-profile concert.
