KD The Devil’s director’s wife broke her silence on Nora Fatehi’s ‘Sarke Chunar’ controversy, said – ‘When it came behind the bodice, it was fine…’

There is a lot of controversy over the song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ filmed on Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt from the upcoming film ‘KD: The Devil’. There is a lot of criticism regarding the obscene lyrics and choreography of this song. Prem has directed and written this upcoming film. Amidst the uproar over the song, the director’s wife and ex-actress Rakshita has broken her silence on this controversy and said that she wants to understand why there is so much uproar over this song only?

What did Rakshita say on the controversy over the song ‘Sarke Chunar’?
On her Instagram stories, Rakshita has posted several notes regarding this matter. He started off by saying, “Yes, yes, I have seen all this. I know you guys are tagging me in random people’s posts. The truth is, I know what’s written. I know what’s happening. Whether I’m in favor of it or against it, what my stand on it is, it doesn’t matter. When songs like ‘Peelings’, ‘Dreamam Vekpamam’, ‘Choli Ke Peechee’ or hundreds of such songs came out, Everything seemed fine then.

When the entire film came out, in which the actors were seen talking only about sexual intercourse throughout the film, even then everything seemed fine. But just one song becomes such a big news. “I am still not justifying it, just asking so I can understand.”

It is wrong to question the entire work of the writer because of one song.
He further said that just because of one song, the entire work of the writer cannot be questioned and underestimated. He wrote, “Just because he has one song doesn’t mean he’s a bad writer or does everything just for show? That’s wrong. Just because some films aren’t as successful as others doesn’t mean he’s a bad filmmaker… that’s also wrong. Do you have the right to question him? Yes, you have the right to ask him why, yes, of course. Do you have the right to abuse him? No, of course.” No. When you abuse her or as some unknown woman spat in a very rude manner, it is her personal matter?

‘Watching gory films and sexual content in films’
Rakshita further said that people should have some ‘basic knowledge’ of how to talk about others. He said, “Songs are made every day, bad, good, provocative, special numbers. Nowadays, people are mostly watching gory films and sexual content in films. Everything is quite openly. Prem is as much a Kannadiga as all of you are. You all have the right on him, to ask him questions, to tell him what is right and what is not.

But saying anything about his previous work, or saying how ‘gimmicky’ he is, let me tell you one thing today, selling a film to OTT or to any channel is the biggest challenge for a Kannada director in today’s time… It is very difficult for him to reach any heights, or even come close to other cinema markets. Bringing even our own people to the theater is a very difficult task. This is not just our story, this is the story of every Sandalwood film.”

KD The Devil's director's wife broke silence on Nora Fatehi's 'Sarke Chunar' controversy, said - 'When it came behind the bodice, it was fine...

He further said that criticizing someone for his work shows ‘another reality of social media’, and this should not happen. Then he said that everything will be fine in a few days and asked for some time from the fans. Finally, she said, “Thank you to everyone who cared. I’m really grateful. I’m here, and so is Prem. KD is our baby and in the end we’ll do what’s right, and only what’s right. Trust us and smile more, love more, just love, love.”
